FUTURE EXPERIMENTS

DETOX

Larger and more comprehensive detox experiments are needed to learn how the body can best rid itself of toxic, cancer-causing chemicals.  We hope to enlist scores of volunteers: men and women, older and younger, thinner and heavier, vegetarian and non-vegetarian, and pay for tests to determine at what rate each group detoxifies when they follow different protocols.  When we have a greater understanding of how the body’s mechanisms work with regards to each toxin, each person can manage their own diet and detox regimen and have a reasonable idea as to what kind of results they can expect.  These tests are quite expensive, and have not been done until now because corporations have not been interested in doing this research.  If we pool our resources, we can pay for the needed lab tests, and everyone can benefit from the lessons we learn.

ACTIVATED CHARCOAL

A volunteer has done a blood drawing in June, 2019, and has been taking activated charcoal with every meal since then.  They are employing this single intervention to determine what effect activated charcoal has in the potential lowering of chemicals in the blood.  The ongoing blood detox experiment from 2015 to present shows a decrease in blood lipid chemicals from the time that activated charcoal was taken starting in August 2016.  The question remains to what extent the decrease was caused by effects related to fasting (including a wearing off of the altered gene expression triggered by the fast), and to what extent the decrease might have been caused by the use of activated charcoal.

The rationale for activated charcoal is that it can potentially interrupt the enterohepatic pathway, carrying toxic chemicals that were expelled by the liver through the bile out of the body instead of allowing them to be reabsorbed via the small intestine.

PRAYER AND MEDITATION

The positive effects of prayer and meditation have yet to be fully researched.  Future experiments can be organized to measure the ability of prayer and mediation to improve mood, reduce conflict, heal illness, and enact other beneficial changes.  This can be done under a variety of circumstances, and with different groups of participants.

ENERGY CONTROL

The effects of focusing one’s body energies have not been fully researched.  This includes the beneficial effects of Indian Yoga, Chinese Qi Gong, Japanese Reiki, and other such disciplines.

DIET

Tests can be done to determine the connection between consumption habits and health risks, especially with regards to the build-up of synthetic toxins in our bodies.  This includes the question of what type of water is best for avoiding toxic build-up.

HOLISTIC HEALTH PRACTICES

While holistic health practices are growing in popularity, their potential to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives is still mostly unexplored.  For example, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) possesses many methods that can improve health or alleviate illness that are known only by a few people and seldom actually used.  We can design experiments to assess the effectiveness of these powerful, but little-used methods and share our results with the world.  In the case of acupuncture, its effectiveness is no longer questioned, although its mechanism of action has still not been explained scientifically.  Similarly, if we demonstrate the effectiveness of a practice or treatment, people everywhere can immediately begin to employ it and see benefits, whether or not its mechanism of action is ever fully explained.  The same is true for all holistic systems and practices from around the world.
